National Bangers

Heat 1 - 69 Jonny Wilkinson, 33, 86, 757 NOF.

A breezy start for the vans and a highly entertaining start to the evening, 15 vans including 753 Billy Cunningham in a rough looking Dodge 50 producing some great action, 247 Bro in the thick of it in his Iveco Daily.

Heat 2 - 465 Mark Webb, 33, 757, 518, NOF.

Amazingly 13 Vans for Heat 2 with 474 making the grid after missing the first but ends up with a very snapped van! 69 had become unbelted and after a few accidental hits including when 247 Bro thought he was waving him in, and the race was declared!

Final - 86 Alec Savage, 465 Mark Webb, 757 Steve Sipka, 518, 516, NOF.

It's an 8 lap final into DD to end a very enjoyable meeting, 11 vans making it onto the track, a fairly tame race as the drivers save their vans for the DD!

DD - 753 Billy Cunningham from 247 Lee Clarke.

The DD makes up for the quiet race and lasts ages before Billy Cunningham's Dodge proves the strongest to outlast Bro's Iveco!

Superstox

Heat 1 - 204 Carl Pye, 482, 612, 17, 376, 51, 69, 161, 426, 540.

16 Superstox on track for their first heat of the evening on a very dusty track following the mess the vans left behind! 167 pulls off before the green with a misfire , 4 puts 515 into the wires with 276 doing the same to lambert in the same spot a few laps later! 204 records his first win in the formula ahead!

Heat 2 - 204 Carl Pye, 612, 482, 376, 51, 521, 4, 540, 426, 167.

A full grid of Superstox with 167 all sorted, and he leads them away though 204 soon takes it up, 161 clips the tyres going into the pits bend sending him into a 360 degree roll and he carries on minus his number board! 204 follows up his first heat win so blue grade beckons for him after keeping 612 at bay all race long.

Final - 376 Steven Jackson, 482 Jason Cooper, 176 Alex Meadows, 426, 51, 69, 521, 17, 161, 612.

It's a clutch start for the Superstox on a much cleaner track but its 612 that fails to get away, luckily everyone sees him in time. 167 leads them away but is soon passed by 426 who opens up a big lead, 376 reels him in with a handful of laps to run and takes it up, 176 forces 426 out wide with 482 also nipping past, 482 Jason Cooper then passing 176 on the very last turn!

Rookie Rods

Heat 1 - 550 Terry Hannant, 650, 19, 10, 665, 279, 526, 322, 231, 39.

22 Rookie Rods with 665 heading the early stages, 10 takes up the running before 19 takes over for a lap, it's then 550 and 650 who both pass together, 550 just holding on to win from 650.

Heat 2 - 32 Reece Pyne, 19, 279, 10, 322, 348, 245, 550, 326, 73.

An incident packed Rookie Rod heat sees 526 hard into the fence after an incident with 322, yellow flags for the stricken 526, 231 finds himself broadside across the track and it's more yellow flags, meanwhile its a yellow grade top 3 with Reece Pyne taking the win!

Final - 322 Daniel Wilder, 650 George Fitkin, 231 Dave Reed, 550, 348, 39, 10, 326, 127, NOF.

Just 3 laps into the Rookie Rod final and its 19 who finds himself minus a wheel bringing out more yellow flags, 550 goes into the fence on the back straight but continues, there are cars going in every direction although damage is minimal and 322 Daniel Wilder collects his first ever race win!
