The 22nd running of the Civil War takes place at Hednesford Hills Raceway on Sunday 16th January 2022 at 1pm.

Please find below details which will help everyone with parking for the event:-

• Please do NOT go to the raceway on Saturday or park overnight outside the venue.
• The approach road will open at 7.30am to competitors and spectators. Please do NOT arrive before this time. Security will turn you away from the crossroad on the approach to the raceway.
• Stadium gates will open at 8am.
• Only people with an advanced Inside Parking e-ticket will be permitted to park within the raceway. You MUST have this ready to show the security at the ‘point’ on the raceway approach road before you can drive upto the raceway main entrance.
• Parking is available on the common outside the raceway as usual.
• For 2022 four additional parking sites have been secured for use away from the raceway for race fans to park free of charge.
• Details for each site are as follows:-
o Kingsmead School, Kings Avenue, Hednesford, WS12 1DH
o Hednesford Town Football Club, Keys Park Road, Hednesford, WS12 2DZ
o Anglesey Street Car Park, Hednesford, WS12 1AS
o Brunswick Road Car Park (Civic Centre Rear), Cannock, WS11 1BG
• Security will be located at these sites from 8am until late.
• A free Park & Ride scheme will also operate from Hednesford Town Football Club and Brunswick Road Car Park sites to bring race fans to the event and also return you to the car parks afterwards.
• The additional car parks will open at 8am. The park and ride will also be available from this time.
• Once the raceway car parks are full, please park at one of the above sites. DO NOT PARK ON THE LOCAL ROADS! At the previous Civil War race fans parking on the local roads with no consideration to the local residents has caused serious future issues for the raceway and the future of the Civil War event. As a result, we have worked with the local authorities, Hednesford Town FC and Kingsmead School to provide additional parking facilities. Again, PLEASE USE THESE!
• Do NOT park in the no parking cone areas or any area which may result in causing issues for the local residents.
• Traffic Wardens will be patrolling the local roads surrounding the raceway and will be ticketing any cars they deem to be parked illegally.
• Finally, please can we ask everyone to park considerably and please do not park where you may inconvenience others or risk the future of the raceway.
