What a weekend it was, with Mother Nature throwing absolutely everything at us over the two days - and we would like to take the opportunity to thank each and every person involved in the weekend for sticking with it through these testing conditions.
Thank you to the Staff and Officials for their time and efforts over the event, we couldn't go racing without them, to you - the race fans - for turning out despite the conditions and to the drivers and teams for their commitment to racing with Europe's leading oval motorsport promoters.
It's also incredible to see such immaculate car preparation across the board; anyone who says that oval racing isn't where to find some of the most exciting and well-presented racing cars in the country were certainly proven to be wrong, and such strong car numbers proves the sport is in a good place - no matter what the doomsayers tell you!
Congratulations to our new champions - we're already looking forward to seeing the new roof colours in action as the season continues. If you liked Spedeweekend, then you'll love National Championship Weekend at Staffordshire's Hednesford Hills Raceway: with three days of on-track activity as the iconic venue plays host to a real festival of racing.
For the first time ever in 2024, the Superstox Championship of the World comes to the event alongside the usual National Hot Rods and Stock Rods National Championships - as well as the 2.0 Hot Rods making their debut at the event which runs on Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th August 2024.
With close to 400 cars in the pits across some of the most entertaining Hot Rod, Stock Car and Banger classes on the ovals, too much on-track action to mention and that fantastic atmosphere, Spedeweekend is still the jewel in the Spedeworth Motorsports crown and always will be the oval motorsport weekend of the year - we hope to see you there in 2025!
