Our friends at Trackstar have asked us to publish this statement:
"With heavy snow and blizzards sweeping the country which are due to hit East Anglian on Saturday this weekend’s two events which are due to take place at the Norfolk Arena on 23 & 24 March have been cancelled.
Drivers are booked in to race from Mainland Europe as well as all over the UK and an early decision on this event has been needed to be made to stop people making unnecessary journeys. We have had many drivers get in contact with us who will already not be able to honour bookings due to not be able to get transporters out of their yards.
Whilst the rest of the country is set to continue to be battered by the wintry weather, we have also been in consultation with the Met Office who have given a 95% confidence rating that there will be over an inch of snow at King’s Lynn tomorrow.
Both Saturday night and Sunday afternoon are also forecast to be bitterly cold with temperatures set to remain below freezing.
Our apologies go to any drivers, fans or race teams who are adversely affected by these conditions."
