Round 6 of the Banger World Series hit Great Yarmouth on 23rd June with 44 cars contesting a superb meeting, and it was 27 Dale Hughes who took the all-important Wild Card place for the World Final in October with the win in the Wild Card race, assisted by his brother 294 Lee who slowed the leading 33 Gary Madgwick on the last bend to let Dale through, paying back the favour Dale did for him at Northampton Round 3 when Dale slowed the leading Lee Usher on the last bend to let Lee through!

The earlier heats saw Gary Madgwick and Dale Hughes take the wins, Madgwick drawing the front row for the wild card race and Dale Hughes drawing the back row, but he stormed through the field for the win! The Brighton Bears, Buglers, Reynolds boys, Gladiators, Damage Inc, Midnight Runners and DWO were all well involved on the night providing some top action at the Norfolk venue.

The Showdown at the end of the night went to 160 Shayn Winsor who kept his cool through the carnage around him to take it after 821 Ryan Preston looked like he had it in the bag only to get stopped near the end, and the DD saw 252 Steve Bugler outlast a gaggle of Gladiators in his Mercedes which wouldn't die!

Round 7 is at Hednesford Hills on 14th July!
