Following incidents which occurred at Wimbledon on Sunday 23rd February 2014 where several drivers started in the wrong grid positions Spedeworth/Incarace would like to clarify the rule on this situation.

With immediate effect the following procedure at every Spedeworth/Incarace meeting will be used:-

Once all cars have entered the track and before the race starts regardless of if the race is a clutch or rolling start depending on weather conditions if you are noticed by a race official that you have lined up in the wrong grid position the Steward Of The Meeting will instruct the race official to move you to the rear of the field.

If the race has started and if is then discovered that you started in the wrong grid position you will be excluded from the race result and forfeit all points scored in that race.

Spedeworth/Incarace would like to remind all 2.0 Hot Rod drivers that it is your responsibility to ensure you line up and start the race in your correct grid position. This is a driver’s rule which Spedeworth/Incarace have agreed to implement on the drivers behalf.

We would also like to remind all drivers that if you are caught in the wrong grid position and then penalised or excluded that abusive behaviour towards race officials will not be tolerated and may result in an ORCi ban.

2.0 Hot Rod grids are issued to each driver when they sign in before the start of the meeting so we would like to remind all drivers to familiarise yourselves with the grid and which other drivers are starting around you to ensure you cannot be deemed as at fault for an incorrect grid position.
