Superstox Cancelled At Wimbledon This Sunday

Due to only 13 Superstox booking in to race at Wimbledon Stadium this Sunday (23rd March) at the halfway point in the week we have taken the decision to cancel the formula from the meeting.

We believe this is due to the drivers having to support two weeks running at the beginning of the season after a superb outing for the formula at Pr1mo International Raceway, Northampton last Sunday when the drivers competed for the Midland Championship.

This decision has been taken to give drivers time to get their cars ready for the first outing for the formula in 2014 at our Aldershot Raceway on Sunday 6th April – 1pm.

We apologise to those drivers who have already booked in for Wimbledon and to any fans who were looking forward to the Superstox appearing at Plough Lane but we hope that a negative can be turned into a positive with a healthy grid of Superstox at Aldershot Raceway.

This cancellation does provide us the opportunity to give more time in the schedule to add even more build-up to the 1300cc Stock Car English Championship. There will now be a Grand Parade with the drivers on their cars and a mechanic driving the car. A quick reminder to all mechanics you need to be in overalls to be allowed access onto the raceway.

Wimbledon this Sunday will still go ahead featuring 1300cc Stock Cars for their English Championship, Bangers in the Refine Metals Track Championship Grand Final and Rookie Rods. Start Time 5.30pm.
