The 2.0 Hot Rod East Anglian Championship took place at Great Yarmouth Stadium on Sunday 17th August 2014.

During the East Anglian Championship race the Steward Of The Meeting made a decision involving #88 Dale Atkins which resulted in Dale been black flagged and disqualified from the race.

Following a review of the race and the overall result the conclusion of the situation is that the disqualification was not justified however, once a black flag disqualification has been issued to a driver it cannot be rescinded.

Spedeworth / Incarace accept that the decision made was wrong but the final result which includes the removal of #88 Dale Atkins will have to remain as written as a driver cannot be reinstated once disqualified.

The Stewarding Of The Meeting did make the wrong decision on this occasion however, Spedeworth / Incarace would like to remind all drivers that in the majority of circumstances the decisions which are made by our Stewards are correct and if there is controversy surrounding any decision our Stewards and Clerks Of The Course will review a decision before making it final.

The Steward Of The Meeting apologises that the wrong decision was made but it is hoped all parties concerned can look to a positive future at all of our race meetings.
