The Banger World Series is back! Just a few days after our BWS Round at Arlington, we have another opportunity for you to come and see the biggest show in town! But this time it’s different as we are venturing out to a non Spedeworth and Incarace track. Spedeworth and Incarace will be running in tandem with Startrax to bring you the Banger World Series to Chesterton Stadium, Stoke on Saturday 13th September. Unlike most of our rounds this will be an Under 2 Litre affair instead of the traditional Unlimited cc format and this should open the meeting up to drivers who perhaps would not have raced otherwise. As well as getting the chance to see your favorite National Banger stars in action, this will provide an excellent opportunity to get to see some of the other National Bangers stars from around the country that you may not get to see normally.
Jack Foster Jnr is a regular at our Banger World Series rounds and will be well known to most of our Spedeworth regulars and he will be present with us again and he will not be alone as he intending on bringing some of his team mates with him which should provide plenty of interest with plenty of enemies out there for them to deal with, and with young Jack already qualified for the big one next month, he may have eyes on stopping some of his enemies from doing the same.
For years the name Team Stinkbridge have been one of the most recognised teams in the sport, and although the team has changed considerably, their new crop of drivers are doing their best to keep the team name alive and kicking with a lineup of young drivers eager for a crash, expect to to see them at the forefront of the action when the BWS hits Stoke! For many years, the Stinkbridge boys would have infamous battles on track with another of the North’s great teams, and we are lucky to be welcoming representatives from one of the Midlands best known teams in the form of the Barton Boys.
We also representatives from East Anglia with us as well, and what great additions they are, as we have drivers from the two of the most crash happy teams in National Bangers right now. The Mad Hatters team is represented by Jonny Atkin and David Gibson, who are top entertainers on their day, but despite this they are also very capable of picking up race wins, and what better proof than this as Jonny was crowned Trackstar World Champion in 2012, and team mate Gibbo came through to take the very same championship back in July! The other team joining us from the East will be the notorious Predators team. Joe Barrett and Ricky Twell be sporting the famous red and blue colours on the night and although they don’t have the racing credentials of their friends in the Mad Hatters, they certainly have the crashing credentials!
With so many of the sport’s top names and teams in attendance we have all the ingredients for a brilliant night of National Bangers.
We are set for a great night in the North Midlands, the BWS is on tour!
