On Saturday 11th October 2014 the Unlimited National Banger World Final took place at Foxhall Heath Stadium, Ipswich.

All world final cars were fitted with transponders so their race positions and lap times could be recorded.

Unfortunately do to issues which are currently being investigated the transponder system failed for an unknown reason during the evening.

The Orbits system software and decoder + transponders were all registering as functioning correctly but there were no transponder readings being recorded.

At present we believe this could be due to electrical interference within the atmosphere as there we also issues with mobile phone communication throughout the afternoon / evening.

There is a meeting planned with the company who supply the system and we hope that they will be able to provide us with more information.
