Spedeworth / Incarace would are pleased to announce that the Bangers have been added to the Boxing Day meeting at Wimbledon Stadium – 2pm start time.
This meeting will be ‘u1800cc Back To Basics - No Honda Powered Cars Or Mondeo/Focus’.
The car construction rules for this event (26/12/2014 – Wimbledon Stadium) are as follows:-
*Cars up to 1800cc engine limit.
*All cars must have an H-Frame and drivers door plate as per current 2014 Banger specifications.
*All cars must remain ‘on the key’ with the original ignition system.
*All doors with the exception of the drivers doors must be tied using seat belt webbing only.
*Cars must have any gas shocks removed from the tailgate or boot.
*All bonnets, tailgates or boots must be tied using seat belt webbing only.
*The bonnet must be secured using 2 rectangular strips of metal each using one bolt to be secured through the scuttle. Each rectangular strip must be a maximum length of 12 inches and a width of 3 inches. (Please click the link below to view a diagram).
*All air bags, plastic bumpers or plastic wrapped around the bumper must be removed and driver door window mechanisms must be removed.
*Original metal bumpers can remain but must not have any extra bolts or additional welding.
*Cars must have an effect exhaust system as per current 2014 Banger Rules, Regulations & Specifications.
*Dashboards can remain in place.
*Radiators must remain in the original position as per the manufacturers’ specifications.
*No tyre gators and no track day (Rainsport or Eagle F1) tyres can be used.
*Any tyre deemed by the scrutineer to be “not within the spirit of the class’ must be removed.
*Any size of wheel or combination of wheels can be used.
*Batteries can be moved inside the car but must be secured and covered.
*Front wings can be cut but must not be folded or have any additional bolts.
*All suspension must remain standard as per the manufacturers’ specifications.
None of the following are permitted:-
Clutch guards
Dizzy guards
Honda Powered Cars
Mondeos
Engine Swaps
Side plates / clamps
Welding of any kind including the drivers door.
All Safety Equipment i.e. Crash Helmets, Racing Overalls etc. must conform with the 2014 Banger Rules, Regulations & Specifications.
This is a light contact, strictly nudge and spin class. Any excessive contact will result in a load-up from the meeting or a ban.
