Spedeworth Motorsports would like to clarify the current situation with regards to Ministox at Spedeworth. A statement was released in October confirming that Spedeworth Motorsports would no longer be running ORCi Ministox, however, this is not 100% accurate.
It is true that Spedeworth Motorsports have taken the decision to no longer run Ministox at our English tracks, however, we will continue to run Ministox in Scotland at HRP Lochgelly Raceway (as well as at our Incarace tracks as previously stated).
Drivers registered with Spedeworth Ministox in Scotland will be issued with a Spedeworth logbook and will continue to use the numbers 100-199 as per the ORCi Ministox numbering system.
The move to Junior Micra Stock Cars at Spedeworth tracks in England has absolutely no impact at all on Spedeworth Ministox in Scotland.
A full season of Ministox racing has been scheduled by Spedeworth at HRP Lochgelly Raceway and a national points chart will be drafted and maintained for the formula with the top points scorer at the end of the year being issued with the silver roof as the national points winner. The National Points chart will see all applicable Scottish meetings at HRP Lochgelly Raceway, Cowdenbeath and Crimond (as well as ORCi Championship events) count for points while drivers are also free to race elsewhere, as and when their schedule allows.
We hope that this statement will allay the fears of some drivers and teams; as well as putting an end to persistent and damaging rumours to the contrary.
