Anthony van der Oetelaar has died, he was 57.
Anthony was the son of famous ‘60s racer and Spedeworth Continental Promoter Barry vd Oetelaar but became an outstanding short oval racer in his own right, winning back to back World Finals in the Superstox class in 1983 (Cleethorpes) and 1984 (Tilburg). He also went on to win the 1989 European Hot Rod Championship at Tilburg, as well as numerous other accolades through his racing career.
The Funeral details are as follows:
Friday 6th February at 1.45pm at Crematorium, Karel Boddenweg 5, Tilburg, Holland. All are welcome to the Funeral Service but the family have requested that the burial will be in private.
