There’s no doubt it was an incredible evening at Wimbledon Stadium last Sunday Night for the Triple London Championships for Classic Hot Rods, Sponsored by Retro Ford Magazine, 2.0Ltr Hot Rods Sponsored by Smith Race Fabrications and Superstox Sponsored by Chris Jones.

Spedeworth / Incarace would like to congratulate ‘Hat Trick Man on the night’ - #198 Andy Steward on taking the Classic Hot Rod London Championship, from #45 Craig Boyd second and #911 Harry Steward third – to add to Andy’s incredible Wimbledon form of 2015/16.

Meanwhile, the 2.0Ltr Hot Rods also contested their 2016 London Championship and #71 Gordon Alexander made the long trip down from Scotland worthwhile to take the title from #565 Dan Smith fresh from the UK Tour of South Africa second and #39 Rick Pannell third.

The Superstox London Championship was another incredible race full of drama and a last bend decider and at the end it was #482 Jason Cooper who took the win from #515 Jordan Aylward second and #44 Darren Phillips third in a race dedicated to the late Denys Jones, for so many years a passionate Superstox Fan and Journalist ‘Man on the Terrace’ in Spedeworth literature for three decades.

Although not their London Championship, the Bones Builders Junior Micra Stock Cars held their own on a memorable night where the Formulas first ever winner, #236 Robbie Bruce took the opening heat and final with #947 Samual Dobbs taking heat two.

Once again well done to Andy Steward, Gordon Alexander and Jason Cooper on a night that will stay in the memory of many people for so many reasons on another action packed night at the Plough Lane Oval.
