Spedeworth / HRP / DMC Rule Amendments as follows:-
In the current Superstox rules it states that you must have 13mm nuts & bolts holding on the front bumper.
It has come to our attention that you cannot get 13mm nuts and bolts anymore.
Therefore, we are coming up with a minimum of 12mm. We cannot go upto 14mm because a lot of the cars would not be able to get these size nuts and bolts to fit without grinding the head of the nuts or bolts so we feel it is safer to now say that you must have the minimum of 12mm nuts and bolts holding the bumper on.
Battery Position.
There seems to a lot of confusion about what the battery rule is, The battery must sit along side the chassis with the longest side of the battery next to the chassis not the width if the battery is not square.
Wheel studs must be level with the wheel nut or protruding slightly through. It will be the scrutineers’ discretion as to whether the studs are protruding through too far and you may be asked to cut them flush.
Rumours about rule changes:-
None of the rumours about rules which I am thinking about changing are 100% in place. These rumours are ‘feelers’ to get feedback from drivers and car builders for their opinions.
The only rule which will come into effect from 2017 is the ‘inch offset from the centre line’.
All the rest of the rumours are for feedback for information only. I am attempting to get a meeting together with car builders to try and make the formula more even.
Anyone can feel free to ring me or preferably email me with their thoughts and suggestions for the future of Superstox. I can be contacted by calling 01252 322920 or email:- deane@spedeworth.co.uk
