There has been Championships and success – a – plenty over the past weekend around the Raceways, here’s a roundup of the weekend’s events;
We start with the 1300 Stock Cars World Championship which was staged at Lochgelly Raceway, Scotland on Saturday past and after an incident packed race, Spedeworth’s #713 Ian Beaumont emerged as the 2017 World Champion with #388 Paul Ford second and #463 Ryan McGill third.
The following day it was the 1300’s Open Scottish Title won by Spedeworth’s #23 Lee Pearce.
The legends competed for their European Championship won by #161 Dan Holden whilst the following day it was the turn of their Open Scottish won by #11 Jon Evans.
Stock Rods contested their British Championship won by #658 Chris Lattka from Spedeworth’s #447 Stuart Smyth whilst the following days Open Scottish won by #944 Derek McMillan.
At Foxhall Stadium, Ipswich, #191 Kieran Greenway took the Whip St Motors Banger 2017 Track Championship from #216 Lee Kingsnorth and #628 Kevin Taylor, whilst the Rookie Rod Long Track Championship went the way of #144 Lee Evans.

On Sunday at Aldershot, the Superstox contested their Grand Final of the 2017 Safari Landrover Engineering Series won by #482 Jason Cooper from #717 Terry Lawrence and #492 Randall Lynn whilst up at Gt Yarmouth Raceway, #411 Richard Warner took the Lightning Rods East Anglian Championship ahead of #627 Danny day and #339 Ben Furness whilst #70 Rob dance took the Mini Supers Two’s National Championship from #515 Craig Driscoll and #81 Paul Cook.
