It is with great sadness we have to announce the passing of Stock Saloon Legend, 269 Jeff Munn.
Jeff's racing career with Spedeworth began in the late 1960's in the Superstox but the launch of the 'New Formula Stock Cars' in 1968 saw Jeff firmly established in the formula and winning races.
By the early 1970's he was one of the real 'Stars' of Stock Saloons and his legendary battles with East Anglia's Bob Studd and Co are still folklore to this day!
By the mid 70's Jeff had won National Points, a European Title on the Continent, and was Sponsored by Auto Enthusiasts Magazine whilst still campaigning 'Farina' type cars as opposed to the preffred MG Magnette.
It was not long after this that Jeff retired from racing but was still seen about the Raceways on occasions.
A fearsome Competitor on Track but a Gentleman off it, everyone at Spedeworth/ Incarace/ Mildenhall and the Oval Community as a whole extend their heartfelt Condolensces to Jeff's Family, Friends and many Fans at this very sad time.
We will post further details of Jeff's Funeral when they are forthcoming.
