Following several telephone enquiries, Spedeworth wish to remind drivers and teams that the rules for this event are as follows:

Junior Rookie Banger Rules

The Junior Rookie Bangers will be run mainly to the Spedeworth Banger spec, but please note the following:

Type of car – the existing list of cars for National Banger Micro meetings will be used for the Junior Rookie Bangers. This list is shown at the end of this article. Maximum engine size 1200cc.

Bonnets bolts must NOT be used – bonnets must be secured by seatbelt only, with a maximum of 4 ties.

Corner plates on the bonnet are permitted but are not compulsory.

A window net in the drivers door window is COMPULSORY.

A neck brace is COMPULSORY.

Original bumpers may remain, but plastic bumpers MUST be removed and not replaced.

Drivers will need to fill in day licence forms and parental consent forms on the day – there will be no charge for the driver but they will not get any extra free tickets for entry. We will be checking claimed ages against public records so no over age drivers please (11 to 15 - no racing from 16th birthday).

These rules are experimental for the rest of the season – if the formula takes off as we hope it will, then we will licence drivers in 2012.
