There may have been a few less Superstox than usual, perhaps a result of the tougher Low Emissions Zone laws that have now come into force, but the drivers who did make it into London made sure that there was no shortage of action for the spectators at a dry but chilly Plough Lane.

Heat One saw 19 cars take to the track for the first race of the evening. For many, this race will be remembered for a spectacular double rollover featuring both 51 Colin Aylward and 515 Jordan Aylward following a clash with World Champion 151 Nick Smith amongst others! However, for 176 Alex Meadows it will be remembered as his first ever Superstox win at Wimbledon as he fended off defending London Champion 4 Liam Lambert to take the chequered flag and a thoroughly desrved win for all the effort that Team Meadows put into their racing.

Heat Two saw 95 John Saunders and 426 Dicky Raymond remain in the pits as the 17 remaining cars including the now wingless 51 & 515 cars took the green flag. 124 Dave Miles broke clear from the blue grade just as 176 had done in the first heat. However, the star and superstar graded drivers were flying through the pack and the last few laps saw a fantastic battle for the victory as 124, 7 Glenn Salmon, 17 Ryan Eaton and European Champion 69 Shaun Brooker exchanged places with Miles eventually getting the decision by 0.4 second from Eaton.

17 cars took to the Plough Lane tarmac for the London Championship final - the unfortunate ones to miss out were again 426 Dicky Raymond and 376 Steven Jackson who retired with engine trouble. Yeat again it seemed that the winner would come from the blue grade as 124 Dave Miles made a great start; it was clear that 69 Shaun Brooker was well on the pace but the question was whether he had enough time to get to the 124 machine. The answer came as 124 came up to lap 51 Colin Aylward when the 51 HCD machine's bumper pushed the 124 car wide - allowing Brooker to overtake the 124 car. Once in the lead, Brooker managed to get a few car lengths ahead of 124 and he crossed the line in first place to win the London Championship for the first time with Dave Miles 124 second and Sarah Cooper 483 in third - making it a very good night for the blue grade.
