17 Ministox arrived at Aldershot Raceway with representation from Autospeed, Incarace, PRI and RDC as well as the Spedeworth regulars to battle for their Southern Championship.
The drivers may be young but they were certainly determined to put on a show in front of the Aldershot crowd. Two graded heats were scheduled prior to the Southern Championship race which would see a random draw decide grid positions.
Two heat wins from the Blue Grade indicated 121 Marcus Skeels' intentions for the day and will also see Marcus upgraded to the Red Grade.
The random draw was very unkind to 136 Ryan Polley who had looked quick all day as he drew a position to the rear of the grid. As the race got underway, it looked ominous as Marcus Skeels got into the lead but 198 Brandon Osborne put paid to Skeels' hat-trick hopes as he spun him out on the back straight. Moments later an unfortunate clash between the 121 and 198 cars put paid to Osborne's hopes of victory.
It was 143 Danny Hansford who profited as he toom victory in the Southern Championship. 155 Sid Madgwick finished in second having had mechanical issues earlier in the day and a determined drive by 136 Ryan Polley neeted him the third place trophy.
Well done to all the Ministox drivers for providing some great entertainment!
