Spedeworth Motorsports have invested a significant sum in painting new lines on the racing surface at Foxhall Stadium, Ipswich.
4 new cameras have also been installed and, in conjunction with the newly painted lines, the intention is to reduce the amount of damage occurring in non-contact classes and to encourage overtaking on the outside line of the Suffolk venue.
If a driver in traffic crosses the line and gets hit in the side - it will be their fault and no-one elses! Drivers must decide whether to take the inside or outside line prior to the corner. The only exception to this is when a driver is completely clear of traffic - in this case a driver may choose whatever line they wish.
The first time these new lines will be put to the test will be Saturday May 19th when the National Hot Rods contest their penultimate World Championship Qualifying Round of 2012. The points battle is very close and action is guaranteed! Support for this meeting comes in the shape of the British Championship for Oval Track Legends and 6-a-side Banger Team racing. Racing starts at Foxhall Stadium, Ipswich (IP4 5TL) at 6:45pm.
